1. Scope
These Terms govern use of Migraine Diary (“the app”), provided by Art Place (“the developer”), and its related support website. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
2. Service
The app provides tools for privately recording and reviewing headache intensity, symptoms, pain locations, medicine, notes, weather, pressure, and health information you choose to permit. Features and availability may change for improvement or operational reasons.
3. Important medical notice
The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, make medication decisions, or assess emergencies.
Records, weather, and health information cannot establish medical causation. Consult an appropriately qualified physician, pharmacist, or other professional about symptoms and treatment.
For a sudden severe headache, weakness or numbness, trouble speaking, seizure, change in consciousness, or another urgent symptom, stop using the app and seek appropriate medical or emergency assistance.
4. Your entries
You enter and manage records at your own discretion and responsibility. The 0–10 descriptions are a personal reflection aid and do not replace a validated clinical assessment or a professional evaluation.
5. Weather and third-party information
Weather, pressure, precipitation, weather charts, and typhoon details use MET Norway, JMA, and other third-party services. Information can be delayed, missing, inaccurate, or unavailable and may differ from official observations.
Do not use weather or calculated typhoon distance as the sole basis for safety, evacuation, travel, or emergency decisions. Check current official information.
6. HealthKit and sensors
HealthKit and device barometer readings may be missing or inaccurate because of device, measurement, wear, permission, or synchronization conditions. They are not intended for medical decisions. You control access permissions in device settings.
7. Data and backups
Records are primarily stored on your device. Data can be lost because of device failure or loss, app deletion, OS updates, defects, insufficient storage, or backup failure. You are responsible for separately managing information you consider important.
The app currently provides no dedicated cloud account sync or complete export and backup service.
8. Advertising
Free use includes one new entry per device-local calendar day, restored at midnight. After that allowance is used, you may choose to complete a Google AdMob rewarded ad to receive three additional entry credits. No credits are granted if you close the ad early. Editing and deletion do not consume credits.
Additional credits remain on the device until used, but have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed, transferred between people or devices, or restored as a purchase. Ads may be unavailable because of connectivity, ad inventory, third-party outages, region, or device settings. The next day’s free allowance remains available.
Ads appear only when you choose them and are never inserted automatically into regular screens. You can report an inappropriate or age-inappropriate ad from the app’s Settings screen. See the Privacy Policy for advertising and data-handling details.
9. In-app purchases
The app may offer three one-time consumable support purchases. They do not change app features. Purchases are charged to your Apple Account, and the price shown by the App Store at purchase controls.
Consumable purchases are not restorable. Billing, purchase history, and refund procedures are governed by Apple’s terms and processes.
The app may also offer monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions with the same ad-free unlimited-new-entry benefit and supporter badge, differing only in billing period.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before renewal. You can turn off auto-renewal or change plans in Apple Account subscription management. After cancellation, the benefits remain available until the end of the paid period.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the app for unlawful or harmful activity, overload or improperly access the app or a third-party service, infringe rights, alter the app, or reverse engineer it, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
11. Changes or interruption
The developer may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the app because of maintenance, failure, third-party changes, legal requirements, or other operational reasons.
12. Disclaimers and limitation
To the extent permitted by law, the developer does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or complete preservation of data, and is not liable for loss arising from use or inability to use the app.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer or other mandatory law.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when necessary. Material changes will be announced on this website or in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
